After a two year stint as the Kansas City Quarterback Director for the nationwide Jenkins Elite training company, Coach Brandon Corbin joined Peru State College (NE) this fall as the Wide Receivers coach. This marks his 11th year coaching college football and 23rd overall. He is also in his sixth season as a part-time analyst for Pro Football Focus (PFF). Encompassing NFL and all Division I football programs, he provides team grade analysis and Quarterback & Coverage (QBC) data. In addition to those processes, he supplies Run Blocking (ABR) and All Coverage (AC) analytics for the NFL. By being a meber of the PFF Analysis Team, Coach Corbin represents the highest 10% of employees within the company.
Prior to joining Jenkins Elite, Coach Corbin was the Senior Analyst on the offensive side of the ball at McNeese State University from 2020 to 2022, where he also assisted with the quarterbacks. McNeese State was Coach Corbin's third consecutive FCS stop. In 2019, Corbin coached in the defensive secondary at Bucknell University (PA) and was also heavily involved in Special Teams. The 2018 season was spent at Murray State University (KY) in an off-field role, where he handled football operation duties, equipment management, camp director duties, and other special projects for the program.
Before becoming a resident of the Commonwealth, Corbin coached four seasons at Bethel University (TN). For the 2016 and 2017 seasons, he coached the quarterbacks, in addition to handling the passing-game coordinator duties. Corbin coached safeties for the Wildcats in 2014 and 2015, and assisted on three special teams units for all four years.
Corbin began coaching as an assistant coach in a variety of roles and high schools in the state of Kansas. In 2000, he was a member of the staff at Manhattan High School where the Indians played in the Class 6A state championship game. In 2003-04, Corbin coached wide receivers at Shawnee Mission North where the receiving corps ranked first in the Sunflower League and in the top five in all classes in Kansas, compiling nearly 4,000 yards of passing offense. From 2007-2009, Corbin celebrated two consecutive District Championships, one Regional Championship, and a school record for wins with Turner High School in Kansas City, Kansas.
Corbin then served as the head coach in 2010 and 2011 at Washington High School in Kansas City, Kansas. In his second season at the helm, Washington snapped a 17 game losing streak to the eventual conference runner-ups, and won back-to-back games for the first time in three years. For their efforts, Corbin received the Kansas City Chiefs/NFL Coach of the Week Award and was a nominee for the 2011 Kansas Coach of the Year.
From 2013 to 2014, Corbin was at the University of North Texas where he served in an off-field role as a recruiting and social media assistant. The Mean Green had a nine win season, a New Year's Day Bowl victory in the Heart of Dallas Bowl versus UNLV, and signed a highly ranked C-USA recruiting class in 2014. Those recruiting efforts have since produced multiple All-Conference selections and four NFL Free Agents.
Corbin graduated from Duquesne University in 1999 where he played defensive back. He was part of two conference championship teams with the 1995 season culminating in a Division I-AA Bowl victory. In his senior season, he played free safety for a defense that was ranked in the top five in the nation. He was also named to the MAAC Conference All Academic Team his Senior year. Corbin graduated with a B.S. in Secondary Education and has his Master’s in English from Kansas State University.
In addition to his collegiate coaching, Coach Corbin coached for the United States National Football Teams and was selected to coach USA Football Regionals in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Houston, Indianapolis, and New England. These regionals were used to coach and evaluate potential players for the USA Football Team and American international competition. In this role, Corbin coached the U-15 Quarterbacks in the 2018 International Bowl IX at Dallas Cowboys Stadium which resulted in a 20-0 victory for their USA Stars team. Coach Corbin has also been a multi-year invitee to coach the All-Poly summer football camp in Salt Lake City. The camp is the largest full-contact prospect camp in North America and features three days of inter-squad competition.
He and his wife Kate have ten year-old twin daughters named Bentley and Violet who are rambunctious and healthy, despite having been born three months early and at just two pounds each.
Coach Corbin has extensive high school recruiting experience in Texas, Tennessee (Nashville & Knoxville area), and the Kansas City metro. He also has recruiting experience in Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Utah. His JUCO recruiting experience includes Texas, Kansas, and Mississippi.
